My thoughts on social media

I don’t really like social media, but it is also a place to communicate with international people who are far away, since I cannot meet everyone in person.

I don’t want to be an influencer, and I don’t have the time or interest in popularity. That’s something for people who are good at it. And I know how much work it actually takes. I understand that effort deeply, but I also know it’s not something I want to do.

Years ago, I used both a personal and a professional Instagram account.

But over time, I realized something uncomfortable. When images are all placed together, they create a version of reality that doesn’t actually exist.

It often looks like people are achieving things effortlessly or living lives shaped more by luck than by process. I have also received messages of jealousy, criticism, and even direct attacks. Just like last week

"Al Agents - to be or not to bee (as in swarm).🐝" lol

In therapy, I often recommend that in those moments, you look inward and observe your own emotions

🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🧘‍♂️The same thing is seen differently depending on the mind. Mindset matters.

I didn’t want that perception to unintentionally affect people close to me, so I deleted it. When I make a decision, I tend to commit fully. I don’t hold onto things, and I don’t look back easily. Maybe that’s one of the more intense sides of who I am.

My LinkedIn journey actually started very differently. It wasn’t meant to “build an audience” or tell a story about myself. It was simply a space to connect with professionals I respect and already knew, where I could share thoughts and respond to questions. My previous posts were simply part of those responses.

Honestly, I never felt the need to broadcast my life. I’m not comfortable with self-promotion. I’m already living a life where I get to do what I want, and that is enough. At the same time, I’ve been taught by many mentors that gratitude should be expressed clearly and honestly. After an article came out, I was finally able to express my gratitude.

LinkedIn has been a strange and interesting space for me. I genuinely enjoy seeing what other professionals are building. It’s inspiring, and sometimes it even helps me understand perspectives I wouldn’t otherwise encounter.

Regardless of age, title, gender, or experience level, I simply see them as professionals. And I find their stories genuinely interesting. For me, my position in any company has never been the most important thing. It’s something I can let go of at any time.

I’ve already found my own answers through when I work in therapy center. At the end of the day, the focus is simple: How do I want to live my life? and How can I help people?

I continue walking my own path then and now. I am the main character of my life, and the designer of it.

This is a reflection...I’ve shared in response to the same question I keep receiving this week 😶
